As far as I have decided, Dr. Guarito is a South American stilted fox, living in a fictionalized turn of the century Brazilian rainforest where he studies and cares for gigantic endangered trees. He is tall, gawky and not terribly masculine. He likes to dance samba, naked in the treetops of the remote jungle where no one is watching. He spends his time talking to his trees (though they never answer), taking samples with strange esoteric instruments made of glass and stainless steel, observing wildlife, and repairing lectures to teach when he returns to "civilization".

My intent in drawing this was to communicate the general feeling of the environment and character with as little effort as possible. I was going for loose ideas focusing on composition rather than refinement.
