Yeah, it's just One Of Those Days again, you can't feel the reality around you, your head has been replaced by a manifestation of pure thought and you can drift freely all around the universe; man, you really wish your cat was here- aaand now your head is your cat, alright, things are going well.
Your body phases as you wander about, and frankly you have no idea what's going on, but something in your mind tells you the Day has just begun.
Haha, look at that star, it's shaped like your cat. Wait, crap; I wonder if anyone will notice.

Aww thank you!
I actually pretty much do things at random, when I feel like promoting or hiding songs/have enough time to work on longer songs; that's when I'll start dumping my efforts into albums. My freebies are little sketches and practice works intended to keep my gallery active, and my skills sharp. The 'scrap' songs, are songs I detest, I have a habit of pushing songs I'm personally not happy with into a dark corner of my computer, and every few months I go check on how many songs made it into the corner, and then bag em for another Demons Volume.
Largely however, everything I do is pretty much at random, all in the attempts to improve my work and skills. :D

You know, I just went through Demons Volume 2 and I actually mostly like it, though I will concede that a it's a little jarring the way a lot of the tracks just kind of ... stop. (I actually had to check and make sure they were really supposed to do that, and not that my smartphone was glitching out and just abruptly skipping to the next track halfway through, as I've had that problem before.) I can sense your personal dissatisfaction with them, since I imagine the songs you actually like would keep you working on them long enough to include more graceful endings. That being said, though, I like them; there are definitely some gems in there! I purchased that album and I definitely do not regret that purchase. :D

I do my best to at least /try/ to push them to some form of completion, but it is tough when you're not pleased with something. I'm really glad I've been sharing them through these albums however, people have been nothing but positive and generous, it really makes me want to work harder on things even when I'm struggling to enjoy it personally, as long as someone can enjoy it. :D

Ooh, this is pretty :D kind of stays with you, too; it ended like two minutes ago and it's still replaying in my head.
Out of curiosity, what criteria do you use to distinguish which of your songs are just sort of freebies you post to FA/Weasyl/etc. like this, and which are for an actual official album? (And which are for scrap albums like the Demons volumes?) They all sound lovely to me. :)
