It seems to have been forever since we last met. He has been with me mentally all this time, but his physical form has always been alluding me. Now standing before me under the light of the setting sun, he wears a small happy smile. I'm confused with this expression. So far I haven't been able to live up to my hopes, my dreams, or goals. I've failed most of what I've been trying to do for all these years. I've even forgotten him for a time in my struggles. Yet here he is smiling at me.

With a quirk of his lips, he approaches me now. I stand frozen in the grass as his shadow falls over me. His height, not much taller than my own, seems to dwarf me with his very presence. He stops in front of me, his very form pulsing with life and a confidence I can't seem to touch. Then with a swiftness that shocked me stupid, he grabs my arms and lifts me to his face. His lips find my own and dominate me. My eyes stretch wide for a moment with shock, but I soon close them and embrace his onslaught wholeheartedly. All to happy to have him back in my arms.

The then he pulls away and whispers into my ear, "You have done well my love. Though you struggle, you continue to try your best. I'm very proud of you. I'm sorry for being away for so long, but I want you to know that I would have never left you. Ever. I'm always here. Until you breathe your last and join me fully on this side of the world, I would always be here, waiting."
