I usually work with sai. I 've never used FireAlpaca or Inkscape (I will try them later!) I used to work with Paint.net, but I prefer to use Sai or photoshop

If you have a tablet, SAI or FireAlpaca are better options than Photoshop. If you use the pen tool, Inkscape is free. If you just use the binary tools, Paint.NET.
