Temple Ruins - watercolor tint by Zannah

Temple Ruins - watercolor tint

Zannah

Final touches went on with a watercolor tint for lighting effects. 11x14 comic panel style commission.

I completely lost track of how much time I spend on this piece, but I think it was close to 16-18 hours total. 11x14 comic style full background on panel, ink, india ink wash, and watercolor and gouache accents. I'll try and get a better pic of this if I can, but it's too large to fit in my scanner, so at the moment a cellphone photo is the best I can do.

The reference for Malys' pose came from a photograph on Tumblr of a silk dancer (will link when I find it again)

The reference for Pez's pose is a photograph from: http://faestock.deviantart.com (ember8) that I flipped the other way around before drawing. AMAZING collection of stock photos in that account, btw.

The background is loosely based on screenshots from the shattered Jedi Temple on Coruscant in the Star Wars: The Old Republic video game, though this isn't set in the same period, so I tried not to follow any of them too closely.

Malys belongs to me
Perdia belongs to Perdikitti (who commissioned this piece)
Star Wars belongs to Disney now c.c;

    Yeah, I can't really comment much on this beyond "...Damn. You're an artist." That said: ...Damn, you're an artist.
