Hiya! I'm a long-time member of fandom, married to Nius (+cats!), and generally an illustrator by trade.

I am a traditional artist. Most of my work is colored with watercolors, gouache, watercolor marker, and/or Prismacolor marker. I don't do requests, but I will take the occasional trade and I do take commissions.

I am generally friendly, and don't mind talking to people. I usually try to answer comments and notes, but I am a spaz, and easily distracted, so please don't take offense if I miss your reply. =)

So. I'll admit, I haven't been paying a whole lot of attention to my page here. The watches/favs/comments I get on Weasyl are barely a fraction of what I have on FA, so I have a hard time devoting the energy necessary to maintain this gallery, too. That aside, I logged in today to check my messages, and found the note about the update to the content rating system, and I am... disturbed, to say the least, particularly by this part under the General section:

"However, no appearances of genitalia, implied or otherwise, or well-defined anatomy (i.e. curvaceous breasts) are permissible."

I've had problems with how the content rating system here works before, but this is ridiculous. Breasts are part of being an adult female. We can't help it. By this definition, no adult female EVER falls under the general rating here. We're now automatically Moderate or Mature by default. For having breasts. The idea that just because there are boobs, a picture is automatically sexual frustrates me like you would not believe. And I'm positive someone will come along and mansplain at me, claiming I'm blowing things out of proportion or overreacting or whatever for speaking up. Fuck that bullshit. Male nipples aren't sexual, but female are because ZOMG THERE ARE BOOBS ATTACHED. I am sick to death of these double standards. Do I have to resort to either drawing utterly sexless characters or put all my females in burqas to have them pass the general audience test now?

ZOMG BOOBS IS LIKE HAVING GIANT EXPOSED VAGINAS ON YOUR CHEST! COVER YOUR SHAME OR THE CHILDRUNZ MIGHT SEE!
