It's from Summer 2011 but it still holds up. Dang it's been almost 2 years since I drew this. Eventually I will redraw this image but I am actually trying to figure out how to do a reference without it being too simple or too annoying.

Well the one gross thing about Azorean Snails is that they give off hallucinogenic slime when agitated as a defense mechanism. They do need to avoid salt. Large amounts will kill them. Small amounts will leave burns. Staying moist isn't an issue on Azore due to living in very humid areas. Those that live in arid regions probably splash around in fountains or sprinkler systems. Of course they live in hot places also. If it's too cold they'll move slower than usual and die from exposure.

This creature is strangely intriguing. Maybe because it reminds me of former pets. I think their culture would be interesting. Even if this creature was real, I don't see it as ugly or gross, just different. I bet they have to watch their diet as in their sodium intake. I bet they also have to stay moist, do they mist themselves? Do they like it cold or hot?
