I had to look that up and wow that was a lot of wikipedia articles I had to close just now.
Anyways, the Ghosts are a friendly sort, not an evil space starfish luckily :)

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah...........the strangest and most often reoccurring villain for the Justice League since the 60's. XD

If it were fleshy, I'd call it Starro the Conqueror (though I suppose only a DC Comics fan would get that reference..... XD). :)
