Takumori in Flight

Zaelgolin

It seems like it's been a while since I've done a gift for one of my dearest friends: the kind and noble Takumori Softwing. After all the pictures I've drawn of myself lately, there was a real joy in depicting someone else. While I believe there need not be a reason to dote upon a friend, Taku has been working on some modifications to my fursuit, and I wanted to do something to express my thanks. To be fair, this little scribble is nothing compared to the truly amazing work that his delicate claws are bringing to life - I still wanted to give something that might put a smile on his face. Taku, thank you so much...for everything. You truly are an amazing friend.

Looking back at the last (non NSFW) picture I did for Taku, I am happy to see that I have definitely improved, and that improvement certainly feels good. Of course, I still have a long way to go. I tried out a couple of new shading techniques here, which I think worked out okay (though they are a bit overdone in some places). I also tried adding a bit of texturing using some basic filters, but I think they came off a bit cheesy...maybe a more subtle effect would be better. Anatomy is coming along but still wonky...shoulders (specifically how the connect to the body) seem to be a recurring weakness, as are feet (though I am happier with them here). As always, comments and constructive feedback is appreciated!
