Happy 1st Anniversary to my lovely wife! The year has gone by so fast.

Charlie and Lucy aren't really meant to be "us", but I do often use these characters as stand-ins for us in art, to represent thoughts and feelings rather than who we are literally. The idea here was to portray them as a successful couple of entertainers in something that looks to be a romanticized version of 1920s Paris, with some art nouveau inspiration in the colors and composition. I used some old art I've done of them to create show posters. I wanted to show how my wife makes me feel, which is inspired, successful, and happy.

I'm extremely proud of how this came out. It was at least ten hours of work, and made with lots of love. ❤
