The Slaying of the Serpent by Yumi_Fukui

The Slaying of the Serpent

Desc taken from FA post.

~Stand against your demons, don't let them destroy you. Even when it all seems hopeless, there is an ember of hope somewhere. Mash those demons down into dust, crush them, and be rid of them- lest they do the same to you.~

This piece took far longer than expected; but it was worth it. I've been dealing with a whole lot of inner turmoil, self loathing- you know, the usual pain. Some days, my inner demons seem like they are easy to finish off, and other days, they stand like this, as a monster overshadowing my poor body, ready to tear me from limb to limb. Seemed fitting to render them as the mythical Yamata no Orochi, the horrid 8-headed serpent from Japanese lore that was only killed by the god of storms. (By getting it drunk, strangely enough, but that's not feasible here, haha.)
I do my best to stand strong, but some days, it just doesn't seem to work...

25-ish hours in pen, ink, marker, and digital.
