[OUD: Mar. 15, 2014]

Alek likes long walks on the beach. The sound of the waves crashing against the shore, the salty smell of the sea air, the feeling of the warm sand on the soles of his feet...AND the little snacks he might find scurrying around; like this little crab that's going to get an up-close and personal view of what it feels like to be tenderized. ;) The poor crab doesn't stand a chance; his dragon scales are pretty tough!

I love macro pics where you have the feeling of impending doom as the macro's foot is looming over you. So I decided to do this!
I was actually somewhat inspired by watching this documentation on tropical islands; they showed footage of a monitor lizard scouring the beach looking for crabs to eat. Just the size difference between the two critters, and the fact that the narrator called the lizard a dragon at one point, gave me the idea to do something similar, this time with an actual dragon. >:3

I am SO happy with how this cam out, especially the background! I've kinda grown fond of drawing beach-like backgrounds >w<
