I had a real treat this week...honeycomb fresh from the honey farm delivered to my door.

I recieved two half frames.

Used a hot knife to cut the comb from the frame, levered the wires out then cut them into easier managabe blocks. Took some photos to show you all as not everyone has seen honey in this form.

We cut small slices off and chew them to get the honey out. Swallowing the wax is optional but its like honey flavoured chewing gum. If I get this often enough I may wash and save the wax and melt it into candles.

I had so much fun doing this.
