The way I work is:

-You tell me your idea in the most specific way possible, and if necessary, provide references.
-I draw a very rough sketch, to agree on the positioning of the characters and props, and tell you the price.
-If you're happy and want to continue, I will send you an invoice through Paypal for half the agreed amount.
-Once it's paid, I will begin the actual drawing process, updating you and allowing one correction per stage.
-When I finish the illustration, I will send you a watermarked low resolution capture of the image, then, you send the rest of the payment, and once I get it, you will receive the full resolution image in your preferred format (.JPG .PNG .PDF, everything except the original layered files).
