an older piece i am still quite fond of
because there's nothing quite like having your heart toyed with and knowing it's happening
but thinking, hoping, that maybe if you just hang in there a little bit longer, it'll be okay, and the pain will be worth it, and things will turn out okay

of course, that's never quite how the story ends, but everyone needs a good dose of harsh reality once in awhile i suppose
