This is my first commission from Docwolph that involves muscled-up kids. Yes, they are kids, Direan kids. For a good example, take Duuma and Saea. Two titan direan cubs who live normal and uncomplicated lives. If such a uncomplicated life involves being taller than the tallest basketball player and packed with four times the muscle of the largest bodybuilder alive. Part of growing up as a Direan means going through a process of "changes" before you even hit puberty.

Around ages 7-10, cubs go though a change most people call "the sores" a process where they say goodbye to the normal athletically built and skinny form for the huge, bulky and superstrong muscles they will carry on for the rest of their lives. During this process of extra muscling, their bodies would feel sore and aching as if they were coming from a long day of working out. This can be curbed with soothing medicines, stretching excerises and simply riding the process which can take 3-4 years.

After that process, the cubs become fully vitalized and ready to use their new bigger bodies, help from their parents to cope with such a change will take longer including learning how to handle things without crushing them. In time they grow up to take living with giant muscles as part of their lifestyle. This is all a result of thousands of years of atlantian engineering their quadrupedal ancestors left behind. Direans of all breeds: Great, Titan and Verian don't build their muscles, they're born with them.

These two are best friends, go to school and play without any reservations, though Saea often is called the "basherette" because of her overeagerness every time she goes into the junior bashball games. Living in the Aspiration Era Direan Republic, means that those two are free to become whatever they want when they grow up instead of what they can take because of the breed they are born into. Duuma, coming from a long line of military-toughned dogs wants to become a firefighter instead of a soldier because he admires the heavy fire patrolmen that protect his village from the seasonal fires.

Saea who is born to a Titan general and a Verian scientist one would think she would have a set life as soldier or just a denizen of society. But she doesn't want any of that, her dream is to become a baker because of her love of sweets and from a spark of inspiration from one incident involving a table-sized wedding cake from a great baker and her eating the whole thing before the guests showed up. It was no surprise for someone that young to eat a massive cake but then again, it must be her father's side since he's a big eater.

These two would grow up to get what they want, but for now they're just happy being kids, kids who together can bench a tank without breaking a sweat.
