this little lady couldn't have been but 5lbs. she had horrible mats on her legs, which is why her rear is so hunched over in the before. It'd been well over a year since her last groom, the parents have been grooming at home and my instructions were as short as possible.
i didn't have the heart to go shorter than a 7f, outside of the matted areas.

she was so choppy from home grooming that i could hardly smooth her out, i didn't want to take away too much of her hair in this cold so i didn't bother getting every little thing blended. it was a comfort groom to me. Doesn't matter if she looked perfect so long as she was comfortable.
she could't have been more than 5lbs soaking wet.

Yeah, we had a client with an Old English Sheepdog who was traumatized by homegrooming that the tiniest tug on a mat would set her bouncing. she would get so matted from lack of brushing that her owner would shave her down and....not in the neatest fashion either. She was so patchy and uneven i thought she was growing back at first fljdsklf. It didn't help that she STILL had chunks of mats on her feet and face sighs.
THANKFULLY, she's coming back more or less regularly with us and is in...much better condition haha.

Our one OES comes to daycare and boards and she tries to keep up but he usually gets shaved once or twice a year, way down, i wish she'd bring him in more :C tho i don't really like doing him ahahaa he's a poop roller and does NOT let you dry his head ever and sometiems not even the front part of his chest. no matter what we do.
I'm glad to hear she's turned around for the better :3 we have a couple like that where the owner realized that hey, we can do what you want so long as you BRING THEM IN MORE. pet parents sometimes, i tell you. Or as my grandfather would put it, some people's children hahaa

laughs oh man do not even get me started.
By all means the dog was alright, so long as we don't demat her or touch her butt. otherwise great!

He's alright for his groom too, i just hate bathing a poop covered dog and since he never lets us dry him i never feel 100% on him. stubborn boy he is.
