This is one of the songs written for the game Dragon Snack, by Chronicle Games, which is scheduled to be released in early July for phones.
I did all four songs on the soundtrack, and was asked to meld 8-bit and 16-bit sounds. This was my first time doing so, but it was very fun! :D
For the techno cave level, I was told I could use all 16-bit sounds! Thanks to a musician friend, I'd just been informed about Super PSG -link- and FM Drive -LINK- both of which I used liberally on this project, and both of which I recommend.
Anyway, I went for a sort of disorienting feeling for this. What's more weird than a mechanical cave, right? I had a lot of fun going atonal here. XD

Oh gosh, you're going to give me Beat 'em Up Fever, again, aren't you?? D: The deliciousness of those games bleeds into my music at times.

Definitely need more creative arcade style beat em ups these days.
By arcade I mean 90s style of course.
New age stuff just feels so broken to me a lot of times. (some exceptions)

This makes me think of arcade beat em ups for some reason.
Like Streets of rage maybe.
Also Guardian Heroes oddly enough.
Wonderful song though has a nice dark theme that sticks well.
