Symphony of Heartless Certainty [Kerlynzia Field SOUTH] [Rain]

Woofle

When the annual torrential rainstorm hits southern Kerlynzia, the plains and mountains are kept verdant for another year, and the rivers wide, but so, too, do a lot of monsters come, and so, too does chaos.
Unfortunately for the hypothetical player, in Elancia Chronicles, they'll be forced to navigate the world map, various dungeons, and towns while this is going on. Most of them will be altered due to all the rain. Mudslides will have roads closed, some areas will be filled with water, and so forth. Oh, and lots of monsters and bandits.
This is a remix of the Night version and the Day Version of the Field Map theme for South Kerlynzia ! Enjoy!

      Isn't Soundcloud amazing? XD

Your work never fails to impress. The string instrument is high fidelity and the melody is downright stylish. You make the kind of music that makes me wanna do remixes! Keep it up!

Oh!! Thank you so much!! :D That string instrument... yikes, though... xD It's called the Stradavari (after the famous violin maker) and it is soooo glitchy! It's enough to make one tear their hair out! ...but the sound is totally worth it!
Also, if you'd like to remix it, I'd be honored! ;~;!!!

I'm pretty bad at identifying notes I hear, so remixes might end up coming quite a while down the line. I'm hoping to learn to know what notes I hear by the end of the year! On that note, I'd love to do a music collab with you one day! I'm working on one with a friend on tumblr now, so I'm getting used to the idea. Either way, I look forward to your future works!

Oh yeah! That skill is a pretty tough one to master, but it's endlessly useful if you can get a hang of it. Also yes, a collaboration would be awesome!! What we could do, since we use different hardware, is we could send single tracks back and forth to each other, and slowly build the song as we go, perhaps? Or we could use MIDI, or somethin'..! Lemme know what method works, and we could totally whip something awesome up! :D You can note me, if you want! :D

Another brilliant track! I really need to get back into editing my speed paints. I just seem to have so much to do. Maybe I can do that on my train ride at the end of the week. I've got at least a three hour ride.

Thank you so much!! :D Also, that sounds like a great way to spend a train ride. Hopefully it's a nice relaxing environment, so that you can do it!

The intro's rather lovely! The percussion really keeps a steady, upbeat, rainy feel to the whole song. <3 Overall, great job!

Every now n' then, it's fun to cut completely loose and do something this uptempo/upbeat/stuff! x3 Thanks much, also! :3

I can only listen to your music when I'm in a good mood (been 8 days since upload), it always makes me wish I could produce stuff like you do beyond my instruments. Also having all of my instruments go haywire around the same time has made me not really want to listen to music, it's funny how it works. Anyway, this reminds me of some really peppy J-pop stuff, it's pretty great and uses lots of effects that I'd use if I could.

Ouch, the bad news blues been nippin' at your heels?
You know, I wish the same thing, too. I wish I could play guitar, or violin (I've tried both, and it will be a very, VERY long road before I'm passable at either, and even then, I've no means to record them,) ...But yeah, I can totally understand that, especially when your wings are clipped and you can't record. I remember I went into a pretty dark place when I lost my ability to record MIDI for a few years, back when that was all I used.
D'you want the software I use? That could be a good start for you using effects like this. I can list all the stuff I use. There's no use sittin' there feelin' bad about all this crap, eh? Let's get you back on your feet, even if you're using something you're not used to, to create.

Yeah, it's rough sailing. I won't spam your beautiful submissions with any of more of my troubles though, haha. What's the particular software? I feel like you mentioned it to me somewhere, but my memory isn't serving me well right now. I honestly wouldn't know the first thing to do, though.

I thiiiink I mentioned it, but I don't even remember. XD Swiss-cheese memory here. Anyway, I use Acoustica Mixcraft (version 6!) and it comes with a lot of the instruments you hear in my stuff, although I've steadily been adding more VSTs as I go! It's a good starting point though. It can take MIDI input -- and it can even take it from your typing keyboard. I kid you not. 0 equipment required. XD

Ooh, yeah the name is familiar, I'm sure you have now. Hm... well if you think I could pick it up, I won't turn down your generous offer. Come tonight, I'm going to be taking a short break from Weasyl (I kind of want to write/post one more thing today, then D3: RoS comes out tonight so it gives me a distraction), so maybe I can play with that during then too.

It's definitely worth a shot... It's got a very long trial period for one thing, and it's stupid-cheap for another. It may not be making music exactly how you want (until you get your guitar(s) sorted, and get ASIO, if you choose to use this program that long) but it's -some- form of creative outlet, and it's better than nothing. :D

Alright then, thank you. Just note me for any pertinent info and such. I should mention that my main acoustic is now in a special guitar storage to rehumidify, it might take awhile... + sapping some important funds, but eh. Need my sanity, lol.

Your tracks give me something to fall back on sometimes when I'm in a creative rut.. :)

Eee! I'm glad!! :D I've been on a crazy roll lately, but trying not to upload them too fast, for next time -I- fall into a rut, so the uploads are evenly spaced... I can feel one comin' up pretty soon. x3 Hopefully there'll be some more Oldschool Skunk grooves to fall back on when mine hits! ♥
