Kéos / Keios [Feat. KamuYana]

Woofle

The other day, I got to collaborate with a friend from Soundcloud; https://soundcloud.com/kamiyana !
The particular tune we tackled together is a very old song of mine, that probably (like every other damn thing in my gallery) has to do with Elancia Chronicles in some capacity. That said, I'm not going to say how just yet!

Anyway, it was really awesome to work with a friend, especially since we use the same tools, and could send the project file back and forth. Enjoy!

I feel like such a one trick pony when listening to your work. x_x It's so varied.

Bah, that's not a healthy way to feel! D: Besides, you can do things I can't, like playing an actual guitar!
I'll admit to having a strength as far as making different sounding arrangements, but all the actual -music- of my stuff sounds frustratingly same-y to me. ._.; That's part of why this collab was so great, because there were fresh ideas injected, to help it feel fresh!

I might have that, but I still feel like my musical expression is really limited by my tools. I mean, I can only rely on the same chord progressions so much, you know? I'm happy to have developed my fingerpicking style, but I always have to aim for the next level. I just don't know what that next level is yet. x.x

Ahh man, I need to get me into some of those juicy collabs. This is lovely, for sure.

Well, hell, I've been relying on the same chord progressions since I started ever making music. XD I think you're cuttin' yourself down a little bit. You're a really good musician, know what I'm sayin'? It's really really hard to see that from the inside as a musician though, especially if you're like you or me. Excellin' at beatin' yourself up, n' all that. I think that's a fantastic skill we share. :V

We are our own worst enemies. :P Humans are messed up, haha. I'm still trying to accept that I'm "good", not to ever dig for compliments but because I just feel like I can do so much better. I guess I'm doing something right, right?

Honestly, bein' that way is vastly superior to bein' full of one's self, in my opinion! So I'd say, yeah, you're doin' somethin' right! :D

You two did a great job. :3 Wonderful use of woodwind 'n strings! Everything meshes rather well.

Thank you! :D It was a lot of fun collaborating with him, 'cause he had so many neat ideas to make the song feel different from my solo crap. It was really really refreshing and eye-opening!
