When the priestess of the [ Chimera People [link] ](http://www.weasyl.com/submission/174899/chimera-village/) strikes out on her own, to help slow the deterioration of Elancia, she gets by on the inner strength she gets from keeping the friends she loves safe, and alive for a little longer -- however long that may be.

Later though, grief-stricken, she finds herself with nothing and no one. Her people are an ocean away, and the friends she'd been traveling with are gone, several are dead, if not all of them. By herself, she performs rituals to keep Elancia from sliding further out of balance, while trying desperately to find anyone who has survived.

It's been three months. She hasn't seen anyone.
