Really big drawing that I made for a friend's birthday. Though, I didn't initially start it out as a birthday drawing, it was actually just basically a landscape study of me trying to draw a really complicated, overly detailed background, and I guess I succeeded to an extent, but I feel like there's too much noise in it and looking at it from a glance, everything feels like it blends together too much and its hard to make out any actual details. Its just a giant sea of leaves and trees down there without much differentiation or landmarks. Actually, one of the main problems I see with it myself is that its moreso just a giant pile of leaves and doesn't really read as actual "trees". Though, funnily enough, the one actual tree that I have is probably my favorite part of the entire drawing. The way that its branches stretch outwards to the left and overlook the forest beneath, and obscuring part of the sky, ah, I do love that composition, I'm actually really happy that's how it ultimately worked out.
