Azalea the Kirin by WinterSoul

Azalea the Kirin

WinterSoul

Azalea is SOLD
More are still seeking homes in my online shop, though! Check it out for some end of fall deals: https://www.etsy.com/shop/WinterSoulStudios

While wild male Kirin often sport scales with intense color schemes to attract mates, some Kirin are bred specifically to exaggerate those colors even further. Azalea was bred for those vivid colors, and knows how to show them off like true royalty! From sculpting, to casting, to hand painting, Azalea was made by my hand and is truly a one-of-a-kind sculpture with much love poured into his making. He's cast in resin and painted in pastel, acrylic and chameleon pigments. Azalea's chameleon pigment shifts from a vivid magenta to a warm copper. As with all my figurines, Azalea also comes with a COA.

Figurine Info:
Scale/Size: Approximately 4.5" tall x 4.5" long x 1.5" wide
Sculpted in wax clay, cast in a sturdy urethane resin.
All sculpting, casting, and special (hand painted) releases are done in the US, by the artist.
LIMITED EDITION: Only 25 casts will be made.

Years ago, when I first began sculpting, "The Qilin" was one of my favorite pieces. So badly did I want to color his scales with every color possible, but it was before I had learned casting. Now that I have learned the skill, I've updated the creature so that I can finish all those ideas, which happens to give a chance for others to paint his intricate scales as well! This Kirin knows how to hold his head high and walk with prestige, he would be a great addition for anyone with a love for rare figurines. This is also my first figurine sculpted in the wax-based clay, which some of my newer pendants were also sculpted in.
