I made this portrait of Danny Trejo because I wanted to get more experience in drawing latin-american people with an older skin, especially the scars were interesting to practice on.
This was also a gift to a collegue of mine who looks a bit like him.
This piece was drawn on Canson CaGrain paper 50cm x 65cm, with Conté a Paris 1710, H,B, 2B and 3B, as well as charcoal powder and vine charcoal for softer tones.
