I adjusted my knotwork kestrel mask design to remove the eyeholes and add a tail for a client who wanted a wallpiece inspired by the mask. Without the eyeholes, I extended the knotwork and changed the feathering on the wings slightly. Like the mask, it has a carnelian cabochon below the head.

Hand-carved and shaped 7-oz leather, painted with acrylics. This piece easily hangs on a wall with a wire backing.
