The Guardians are an original alien race in my story Spiral Nebula. Not much is known about this alien other than they've been fighting a parasitic life form for tens of thousands of years. Their weaponry and defenses have been built around the never-ending war, making them the most technological advanced aliens known. Their combative skills, using their ships and weapons or their claws, are unmatched since they are bred for fighting and trained since birth.

The bright colors of this race, along with the bright colored tipped feathers, suggest that the Guardians once evolved from some sort of avian or reptile. The fur also suggest mammalian ancestry but that knowledge has been lost to even the Guardians themselves.

This particular alien, is a character in Spiral Nebula named Velsh'nark. He enters the story when he is rescued by Yukiomaru's crew, and becomes the first alien ambassador to spend extended time with the main characters.
