She doesn't, but geisha have many cards in their sleeves to protect themselves! The hairpins they use are actually piercing sharp, their sandals are super heavy and some of their hair accessories are made from crystal that breaks when in contact with poisoned sake! I read those in books written by real geisha and people who study geisha!

For some reason, the more artworks i see of Nae and read about her, she is slowly turning from fragile little geisha to someone who will hand your ass to you with geisha's grace if you don't behave :'D it's awesome!

This is real pretty! The nice thin and elegant linework, coupled with the subtle form of the colour really came out great.

Aha, I was thinking this might be the case: There were no comments on the other pic because this got uploaded not long after the first. The other was also in scraps, or something, maybe? >_>
Anyway, what I said about the sketch holds true here, and the level of polish now added makes this a truly cinematic presentation, elevating this geisha's/maiko's dance to epic levels. <3
