Religion is the fundamental and absolute base of Great Land's culture. The society is extremely, if not fanatically, devoted to their gods. The Heron God Oojirasagi, The Lonely and Only and The Owl Goddess Odoriko, The First To Go, are part of everyday life, from small activities to cerimonies and festivals held in their divine honor.

Temples and shrines are the most numerous buildings in Great Land's cities. There, Greatlanders pray and make offerings. Every home must contain at least one shrine and one image of the deities.

Greatlanders pray to Oojirasagi for protection and safety, for Him to lighten their path, as well as for an abundant harvest, a healthy soil and perfect seasons.

Greatlanders pray to Odoriko for Her remaining shards to bring them good luck, health to their families, for perfect children, for a long life without any kind of illness and for courage, to face the darkest moments.
