Their body is made up of countless Nanites, which move freely and together form the physical shape of Kat's form. The nanites, however, are constantly burning up and being expelled by the body. As such, they constantly need to take in new material to replace that which was lost. As such, their body automatically tries to break down anything it comes into contact with, unless they focus primarily on preventing it, which isn't easy for them at the beginning.

The 7 orbs, 6 floating and one inside the body's head, are her processors and each hold a different part of her personality. They function together as a singular unit, and are what ultimately control the body.
