I've realized too many of the sketches giving context to nanite have are still only in my patreon sketchdumps or otherwise unshared. So I'm gonna start posting some of these. The page says non-canon, but it eventually became essentially canon. 

FalloutFox's Princess told Kat that they couldn't mess with her orbs. Which they reluctantly agreed to. But when they found out about the existence of an artificial suulkie, they just couldn't resist. They used their journal to create one of the orbs. Which, detecting the rest of the "artificial suulkie" system was missing, quickly started rebuilding it using the surrounding materials. Kat attempted to stop it, but in doing so just got themselves and the journal dragged into it. And they woke up with their mind in the reconstructed nanite body of an artificial suulkie.
