Down and Down by Weeburd

Down and Down

Weeburd

It's weird and uneasingly common how the human brain can repeatedly fuck itself over; how something as simple as imbalance or crossed wiring can ruin you.

Struggling with depression and borderline often leaves me feeling as though I'm slowly drowning; everyone else is doing fine at the surface but even with help I'm constantly struggling against the current and the weight strapped to my shoulders.

Small things will help. Watching garden birds, the comfort of a friend, knowing that somebody else gets it.

Not everyone is so lucky to have friends or little garden birds so that is why I try my best to help other people.

I might be drowning but it doesn't mean somebody else needs to go down with me.

Probably not the right tangent for the image but it turned into a semi-positive... i guess.

Thankyou everyone for your time and your help. Even if it doesn't seem like it it's helping a whole lot.

I definitely know that feeling. Your vent art is always on point. Maybe I should try it some time, see if it helps me with my own demons -lots of hugs-

There's always more down, isn't there? Damn it all.

Hope you find something to inflate your swim bladder. If the support of relative strangers on the internet is at all helpful, I'm also my weasyl name on gmail/gchat and doeantlers on twitter.

Sorry, but I gotta say that I love that analogy, 'inflate your swim bladder'. It's my fish geekiness coming out for sure ^^. Thanks for saying that!

I do definitely get it. even if I may have the hardest time articulating it or being comforting; I'm empirical and logical by nature so even though I have a lot of empathy, I feel the need to right the wrongs going on inside my head and others. I may not be the best at being reassuring, but I can definitely say you have my support.

As for the piece, I love how you handled the scene with all of those rich blues and greens. At some point when you're feeling more yourself and with more energy, you should try more underwater pieces like this; I think you have a knack for it.

This story gives me deja vu. I know those bitey things lurking in the dark. If you need to talk, send me a note.
