I discovered a paint from Daniel Smith that does a beautiful thing that isn't at all decently demonstrated in this piece but it's a nice colour regardless.
Moonglow starts off a sort of darkish purpley colour but when wet a lot it will granulate into blue and pinker shades of said purple colour. It looks brilliant when it does and makes for very pretty clouds.
Watercolours.
making a guide book/field illustrated guide to fantasy/imaginary/CRITTERS is one of my goals in life SOME DAY I have a bunch of idea paintings for various things SO HOPEFULLY SOME DAY.
and alsuhlakhs thankyou so much AUGH
DUDE I CAN RELATE....behind the scenes i have like...a couple pet projects and my literal dream goal in life is to do a dragon field guide i dont even care how overdone and cliche that is i wanna make it DIFFERENT and make dragons that look more like birds/dinos rather than traditional western dragons bUT THATS JUST ME
lets both make fantasy field guides tbh
YES dragons and gryphons and weird little buggy fae and oh god it would be glorious
(my dragons also always go dino and birdy OOPS)
YES I love Moonglow! I just got some myself, it's so fun :D I love the feathers on this critter, great colors!
