Eosinopteryx brevipenna by Weeburd

Eosinopteryx brevipenna

Weeburd

So of course the moment I found out about a largely cursorial troodontid from the same ilk as Anchiornis. It had lost the feathers on it's tarsus and had reduced wing and tail feathers, suggesting it was much better suited to running around on the ground after food.

I made a lot of hiccups but egh it was a quickie ;-;
