A commission by Tealfoxy (aka Slickfox on FA), it is done in the setting of the Persona 4 game/anime. In the game, various characters are pulled into a world located inside TVs, where they encounter their "shadow", a darker part of their personality that they hide and feel ashamed of. Someone who accepts their shadow can recombine with it, and acquire greater power (through acceptance of their weaknesses), but rejecting the shadow makes it go berserk, in some cases killing them.

Watcher was pulled into the world and encountered his shadow, who was uninhibited in all the ways that the "real" one was not. He flaunts his body and sexuality, doesn't hide behind shyness, and doesn't hesitate to say what's on his mind. In reality, the shadow represents the things that Watcher wants to be in some way, but taken to the greatest extreme. He sees his shadow, and can't bring himself to admit that the being standing before him is a part of his soul, something that is too important for him to cast away.

Unfortunately, he makes a mistake here, yelling those fateful words that make things go poorly: "You're not the real me!!!"

"I am a shadow, the true self..."

And the battle begins.
