2012: Jaguar Bites the Sun as Witnessed by One Mangrove Tree

WanderingRae

There is a story here, but I must take the time to write it out properly. In the meantime, I invite folks to make-up their own story. :)

The idea first came to me last June. I spent 5 months slowly working on it between other projects. I made a lot of mistake, but I also learned a lot. In particular, I learned how much water my watercolor block can tolerate without warping; I learned how to get rich colors in watercolor by building-up my washes, and I started to learn how to create luminous, vibrant shadows.

Watercolor, gouache, pastel, and micron pen on 140lb. cold-pressed watercolor paper.

Art belongs to me.

DO NOT USE.

Thank you!
