Kiusa's Apartment, 2 Days After Max's Hospital Release

"H-Honey? Is everything OK in there?" Kiusa sat tentatively on the bed, waiting for her love to finish.

"Yeah, I'm fine...just a lot of bandaging to tear off" His voice carried out past the bathroom door.

"Ok...let me know if you need help, hon~" She couldn't help but hug her own fluffy tail like a plushy - if only to stop herself from fiddling with her fingers in worry.

She almost jumped when the bathroom door creaked open, prompting her to release her tail and rapidly re-compose herself.

What stepped out was indeed her grumpy cat, but now adorning a black and white eye patch carrying a white spade on it. While out of the norm, it was certainly less painful than seeing her significant others face wrapped like a mummy. She couldn't help but form a big grin at seeing his new look.

"...What?" Max raised a brow

"Hehe~...you're a pirateeee~" She replied wistfully

"Here we go..."

She drew out a cell phone from her pocket and faced it towards him, "Helloooo~ new phone wallpaper~"

A click sound emitted from the phone, digitally immortalizing the moment.

She then hopped up on her feet and gave him a big kiss on the lips while slipping her arms around him, "And hellooooo~ boy toy~"

He could feel her playing with his neck fur, appreciating how long it's gotten.

"Where'd you find such a cute eye patch, dear~?"

He sighed, "Its a memento"
