I don't know much about Splatoon, but heh, isn't this old man cephalopod fun? Random fact, the average lifespan of most cephalopods like squid, octopus, and cuttlefish is only about 2 years, though some can live up to 5 years if they don't mate (males die right after mating, females live just long enough to hatch the eggs.) It's probably for the best, as those things are some of the most intelligent things in the ocean and their arms/tentacles can be great manipulators to make tools and stuff. If they lived long enough to develop some kind of culture they would probably take over the planet.
