It's nice and simple, and invokes a mood. Not necessarily a happy one, but one nonetheless.

The subject stands out against the backdrop, on account of the way they're inked. Maybe that's intentional, but you know better than I would. Since they and the background are both black-and-white, it's not as jarring as it could be, but if you swapped over to colour the effect might not work to your benefit. For what it's worth, I'm a fan of how it looks right now.

Love the brushes you used for the distant background and sky, and the top of the foreground. They all serve to help the mood of the piece. The 'underside' of the foreground (the grass hanging down over the edge, I'm guessing) looks off, though, a bit too fuzzy, and the cliff face and water don't look as 'present' as the sky and grass do.

Hopefully some of the above is helpful, I think I'm pretty shite on critiques, but this is a cool piece, and since you asked, some random guy on the internet's going to deliver something.

Whoo! I really glad for this comment. Thank you very much for taking the time to write this.

I did have trouble with the grass at the edge, but I'll definitely keep this in mind the next time I try my hand at a piece like this.

After I wrote it I was kind of "this isn't very helpful, you're probably already aware of all these things". Glad it's helpful.

Not sure what you could do to improve the grass, but some kind of spackle-y brush might work for the cliffs. For the water, I think it depends on the weather, but it's very flat right now, and trying to suggest that there are waves off in the distance (really just a shimmer) would fix that.

There's a strong sense of isolation in this one that really resonates with me. It feels alone, but it also feels like that's okay if only because it has to be. I like that the landscape is kind of abstract, but still sharp and just focused -enough- to have a real feel to it in spite of surrealism. I dig this, is what I'm saying.
