In my apparent journey to make furry versions of anything I've ever drawn or considered human, here's my RenFest costume and plague doctor persona, Clarence, as an American crow. You know I still have no idea what his hairstyle is, despite having drawn him like 5 times in full color, yet he now has a fully fleshed out furry form? Anyway, I struggled a little with not only the feathers just because of how my hand works with that kinda shit and also with trying to make sure the colors aren't too dark for the lines. I made the lines bright red at one point but it just looked bad, so I had to make the body increasingly lighter and landed on this mediumish darkish red-grey and I think I like it a lot more than the original greyscale grey. My entire doctor costume is red and black with white in the beak, so I didn't want to stray from that color set. As for the beak itself, it was translated directly into his facial markings.
