And holy fuck did it take forever

This is the culmination of like 4 or 5 days of drawing. Some time for the sketch, another for lines, a LOT of time for coloring and cleaning up, and tonight was for the effects such as eye/metal detail and glow. The background was semi-accidental; I was making sun shafts and I like to play with how the layer interacts with things beneath it (normal, darken, saturate, etc.) and when I saw how color burn turned out, I knew I needed to keep it.

I always liked the look of humanoid-but-not-human angels and wanted to do a take on that style. Not the Eldritch wheel ones, but something more than just the basic winged people I was taught about in school. As for legs, boy oh boy did I struggle with that for quite some time. I debated having hooves, bare human feet, flowing cloth from the waist down, but finally landed on wings there instead, as a lot of the google search results had wings covering feet (and also faces for some reason). This good boy here also features a ribcage, claws, 2 weapons, 30 eyes (27 drawn here), 4 pairs of wings, and a sweet scarf. Also one of the very few designs that I use pure white with, cuz it seems like an angel would make good use of it, if anything.

EDIT FOR WEASYL: Okaaaaay first time it's told me my shit was too big of a file for the site to allow. Sorta never realized those limits were there cuz I've never hit them and they're faint on the upload section. Cropped out a little on each side so the edge touches the wing tips.
