So we went to see the Hobbit movie, and I wasn't overly impressed with Smaug, who basically looked like Vermithrax Pejorative with a weird jaw. I'm not saying it was a terrible design, just not my cup of tea. Honestly I'm not a huge fan of the books or the movies and don't have much of an investment of the character. Anyways, I did this little colored-in sketch of an old, greedy dragon - fat and swollen with poison, with a sardonic, skull-like face. It's just a colored in sketch.

Oh damn I wish they'd gone more with something like this for the movie!

An excellent rendition; I wasn't terribly impressed with Smaug in the movie either if you ask me. Certain character traits in his appearance were missing. For someone who isn't that into the books, I think you nailed his face just right!
