A portrait of Clare Bell's character Shongshar. He's a character from her book, Clan Ground - an intelligent prehistoric cat, a touching and ultimately tragic antagonist.

This isn't for a cover or anything, it's purely fan art. I wanted to focus on his brilliant orange eyes, which are an emphasized trait.

    Love the lighting here, and ohmygod the EYES. So freaking gorgeous.

    And I keep looking at that nice sharp highlight on kitty's left tusk (is that what we call them for sabres?), looks awesome.
