No, no i'm failing because I'm still taking too much time with detail. The whole point of these exercises is to focus on the colours and simplicity and to do them in a certain amount of time.

Totally agree with OneHit. When I first saw the thumbnail on Twitter (the critique requested account), I was wondering why you put two similar photographs next to each other.. two times. On the website it's a bit more obvious but nevertheless impressive. :)
I also like the light treetops you added in the picture on the lower right. They make the landscape look more three dimensional than the photograph. (I suppose in reality, the area behind the row of trees near the houses is rather flat?)-
