For a first attempt this is stunning! You can kind of tell where you went NOPE though on the back fur xD The ear details are really nice but the edge along the skin looks a little too sharp? Might be because it's lacking the white outline that the other ear has on both sides. But yeah, I'm especially impressed with the short muzzle fur, that's usually the hardest to make realistic! Next time you might want to draw a raindrop or two on her whiskers too :)

Thanks BF. I was fumbling on the back fur a bit. I find it challenging to draw fur that facing more towards the viewer head on. Plus, I was trying something Aaron Blaise does with his work to help the viewers focus more on what you want them to look at. By blurring the non important things out a bit (which kind of his my timidness on the back fur). Yeah, I noticed that too when I was going over the whole thing. But I wasn't sure if you'd be able to see any rim light on that side of the ear. ...maybe just a thin line. I was thinking of a rain drop on a whisker but I was afraid of clutter.

uses for her base paintings that she freely distributes (they're all photos she's taken) if you want them. They're incredibly helpful for head on fur, as well as fur on areas like necks and where joints meet the body!

This is so beautiful and Vey is such a cute critter, the tooth and expression is so perfect. Excellent job on the lighting looks amazing on the ears. For an attempt drawing wet fur I think you did a fantastic job,it looks great! The details...Such beautiful work!
