This is another spiritual piece, similar to The Moondancer ( https://www.weasyl.com/~venghze/submissions/1666566/dancing-on-water-under-a-full-moon ) that I got earlier this summer.

If you have read my presentation, you will have understood that I am a pagan. While I appreciate every pagan holiday in its own way, there are 2 that stand out above the others; and one of them is Beltaine, "the May Day". While Christianity took over the main course of it, the ancient pagan tradition is still celebrated throughout Scandinavia, Europe and the UK as a public holiday, with names such as Walpurgisnacht or Valborg.

Beltaine is the most important of the celebrations to me. It's wild; filled with life, passion and intensity. Dancing around a large fire is a key part of the ritual and something I have been doing for years. I wanted to put that into picture, and here it is! This picture is loaded with symbolism of everything that is me: the dragon in pagan clothes, jewelry and tatoos; dancing around a fire with her shadow spirits, in front of Crann na Beatha (Tree of Life), with the full moon in the sky above.
