The Spring House by Velantian

The Spring House

Velantian

Today was World Wet Plate Day. I was allowed to shoot at the oldest known, standing building in Frederick County, Maryland. The Beatty-Cramer House site is home to three structures. The primary building c.1732

Clear glass collodion negative. This should make a nice salt print so I'm sure you'll be seeing a version of this again.

Thanks, collodion photography is essentially grain less, it was used by astronomers for years because of that. When you get all the chemistry and technique right it's magical.

The upper story floor is almost rotted through. The lower section is ok, dirt floor. Plenty of space to rub your butt.
