My 'white' violets,
Crappy day, chilly and over cast. Not a good day for wetplate so digital it is.

Wireless triggered flash, full manual. 125th sec f22.

  Not quite as sharp as your Iris. The lens is the Olympus 40-150 f4, it renders color well though.

    that's the conclusion I've come to, zooms are very versatile and flexible to react to the moment, but unless you spend around 2k for the lens, a (somewhat lower price ;-) prime will beat it every time in MTF and color correction.
    
    I have a nice Pansie trying to poke out, but the framing was ok, but I didn't feel it was up to posting. perhaps when a few more bloom

      Yeah, I've never been much of a fan of zooms but I don't spend much money on my digital habit. I'm saving my pennies for something like a Hermagis Petzval.

        we all have to pick what hill to die on ;-) I picked digital,no chemicals to spill all over and what not :-)
