This was my best plate of the day and it's total crap. Oh well, you have days like this. New collodion, fresh silver, cold weather and overcast sky.

Ambrotype on clear glass. Poor Boy collodion, Bausch and Lomb projection petzval lens.

  That's part of the magic of wet plate. The most banal, screwed up image is still fascinating in some undefinable way.
