A sketch for Paradeox from my weekly sketch streams!


"Every addiction can start out small. At first you might not even think whatever it is that can become addicting is even good, or is even outright repulsive. Likewise, Snazz thought the very same about pizza when she was at one of her friend's party. A knock had come to the door, and her friend quickly ran to it and brought in a stack of towering pies while yelling out to the crowd, "Pizza is here!!!" to which everyone cheered back. All except for Snazz, who hadn't even had pizza before. Being a health nut for all of her life, she really hadn't seen a reason to eat anything else besides fruits and veggies. As the crowd grabbed a few slices and left a few pizza boxes left, Snazz's friend went up to her and pressured her into grabbing a slice. "Come on Snazz, it's a party, live a little!!! One slice wont hurt you, I promise!" Snazz hesitantly went up to one of the boxes set out, and lifted the top, releasing a waft of a heavily grease ridden aroma mixed with a pleasant smell of sauce and cheese right into her nostrils, causing her to scrunch her nose a bit in response. "Ugghhh, what the hell is that stench!??!?" She asked aloud covering her nose. Her friend replied "You've never smelled pizza before?!?! That's sad Snazz... At least try a slice... For me?..." Her friend asked Snazz, staring at her with puppy dog eyes. Feeling overwhelmed with a sense of pressure, and somehow guilt, Snazz picks up a warm slice of cheesy pepperoni pizza from the grease stained box, holding it in front of her with a face filled with disgust as she watched some of the cheese ooze downward towards the floor. "I can't believe people actually eat this junk! It looks so disgusting!" She said as she looked back towards her friend who was still starting at the repulsed bat "Uggghhhh... Fine, just one slice..." She says as she inches the slice closer and closer to her begrudgingly awaiting maw. As she took a bite into the warm, soft, and crispy yet soft slice, her eyes shot up in surprise at just how good the pizza was. She quickly devoured the slice in just three more bites, taking note of how the cheese just oozed in her mouth and how the crust was even stuffed with it too, and then she let out a muffled moan of pleasure "Mmmfffghh! Wow that was incredible!!!". "See what did I tell you Snazz, you just need to let loose a little, it's a party!" Her friend said as she excitedly patted her back, which elicited a small burp from the bat. "I-Is it alright if I grab another slice?..." Snazz asked slightly embarrassed, as not even a few minutes ago, she was looking at the slice as if it were alive. " Of course! You can eat as many slices as you would like Snazz, there's plenty for everyone!" Her friend replied back, motioning to several other boxes that were on the counter. "I-I suppose it wouldn't do any harm to have maybe one or two more slices. After all, I do need to loosen up a bit..." Snazz said as she grabbed another slice from the box. Then another... And another... And then several more after that..."
