I was working on this sketch before I went in to work, if I remember correctly not too long before I ended up quitting to be closer to my grandma when she was first diagnosed with lung cancer. I remember the day being sunny, the park where this was drawn not having any others except for me and family. there was a calm lake, and ducks swimming around. I sketched out this pose of a Great Dane (not Claire funny enough) using a vape, which was something else that relaxes me. The way the smoke flowed and trailed in the air is like having your own personal satisfaction compilation video to watch.

A few months later, in an entirely different set of circumstances, I digitally painted over this sketch as practice to get used to my tablet and art program more, and to learn how to use my brushes better. I'm really happy with how this turned out, and what's more is I feel it still has that sense of just complete relaxation. Definitely going to be a piece I'll remember having worked on.
